STILLNESS
ASHIS SARDAR
“The mind is restless, krishna, impetuous, self-willed, hard to train: to master the mind seems as difficult as to master the mighty winds’’ --- THE BHAGAVAD GITA
In 21st century, we are having an exponential growth phase of technology
world. Everything is way more easy than past, from food delivery services to
AI implementation in researches. Actually, we are chasing our destiny to be
more confined because we want to drive it according to our own.
What we are having actually is more options in this era for each and every
little thing. So, as diversity increases more and more our thinking process is
having more and more thoughts to process. And this is making our inner
peace more disturbed. According to the studies in 2020, more than 6000
thoughts come in an avg human mind per day. Out of which 90percent are
irrelevant. Like water is having fluidity because of its inner stillness nature so
do our mind is having the same nature. The more still & peaceful you are from
inside the more productive you will become for any particular task.
Technology is being used now for avoiding any moment of boredom. Then
what we are trying to escape? Its our inner peace & stillness. We want to be
disturbed in every moment.
Just think what will happen if one day morning you are having no sounds from
your human & technology surrounding anymore, not even a single?
Answer is, you will be confused as well as feared up from inside because your
brain is being habituated of being disturbed by outside world as it does not
know from long that how to be in stillness. This shows your mind doesn’t even
know how to maintain inner harmony or peace then how could you expect it
will not be confused for any other outer world decision.
This is the biggest reason of a large number of people of our generation are
not clear from their mind despite of having huge number of options.
They lack stillness in their lives that is reflecting on their existence though a
confused mind, confused life.
Even in our mythological histories will show you relevance of stillness
as doing ‘dhayan’ had been a part of spiritually lifted lives.
Doing actually nothing, is a very difficult task to accomplish!
Stillness is needed …
To think clearly,
To have balanced life,
To handle high-pressure situation
To feel fulfilled & productive
To build good habit
To physical excellence
To gain emotional intelligence
To capture precious moments of life
… so on.
Stillness is the key to, well, just everything. To unlock all that are capable of in
this life.
